Peptides in One Sentence

A peptide is a small piece of a protein. Insulin is a peptide. So is GLP-1, the hormone that semaglutide copies. Your body uses hundreds of them as messengers: one tells a cell to repair, another tells your brain you are full, another tells your pituitary to release growth hormone.

Peptide therapy means taking a compounded version of one of those messengers, in a dose a provider sets, to nudge a process your body already runs. It is not a steroid and it is not a stimulant. Most peptides are a small daily or weekly subcutaneous injection you give yourself, the same way people take semaglutide.

What People in New York and New Jersey Use It For

The programs we prescribe fall into a few groups. Recovery: BPC-157, TB-500 and KLOW for soft tissue, joints and gut. Growth hormone support: sermorelin, tesamorelin and CJC-1295/ipamorelin. Longevity and skin: GHK-Cu, epitalon and NAD+. Cognitive: semax and selank. Sleep: DSIP. Sexual wellness: PT-141. Weight: semaglutide and tirzepatide, which are peptides too.

The honest version of the evidence is this: semaglutide and tirzepatide are FDA-approved and backed by large trials. Most other peptides are compounded, not FDA-approved for these uses, and the research is smaller, often early-stage. We tell you which is which before you decide.

How a Program Works at Zen IV Spa

Every program at Zen IV Spa is prescribed and overseen by our medical director, a licensed physician, after a consultation and baseline labs. A nurse comes to your home in New York or New Jersey for your first dose if you want one, and refills ship to your door.

The consultation is on video. You tell the provider what you are trying to fix, they review your history and order labs. A nurse comes to your home anywhere in New York or New Jersey to draw them. If a program makes sense, the prescription is written and the first shipment arrives from a licensed US pharmacy within a few days, with syringes, alcohol swabs and a dosing guide. Check-ins are included; you message your provider, you do not chase them.

What It Costs

Single peptides are $229 a month (glutathione $199), stacks are $299, KLOW is $349, semaglutide is $199 and tirzepatide is $299. A 2-month supply is 10% off and a 3-month supply is 15% off. The provider consultation is $50. That price includes the peptide from an FDA-registered US 503A compounding pharmacy, supplies, overnight refrigerated shipping, the intake review and follow-ups.

There is no subscription. You can buy one month and stop. The thing to be wary of is any site that sells 'research peptides' with no prescription and no provider. Those are not made for people, and nobody is checking what is in the vial.

Who It Is Not For

Pregnancy, active cancer, uncontrolled diabetes, a history of certain tumors, and some heart conditions take several peptides off the table. That is exactly why there are labs and a physician first. If our medical director says no, that is the answer, and we will tell you why.

Common Questions

Is peptide therapy legal in New York and New Jersey?+

Yes, when a licensed provider prescribes it and a licensed pharmacy compounds it. Buying peptides online without a prescription is where people get into trouble.

Most peptides are a small subcutaneous injection with a tiny insulin needle. A nurse can give you the first one at home and teach you. Some, like BPC capsules, are oral.

How fast will I notice anything?+

It depends on the peptide. Sleep and energy peptides can show changes in days. Recovery and skin peptides usually take four to eight weeks. Weight-loss peptides are titrated over months.

Is it covered by insurance?+

No. Compounded peptides are direct-pay. We publish every price so there are no surprises.

All treatments are medical services. Every guest is screened, and every treatment is provided only under the clearance, prescription or standing protocol of a licensed medical provider. Compounded peptides are not FDA-approved unless stated. Nothing on this page is a diagnosis or a promise of results.
