What Amino Blend Does
Amino acids are the building blocks your body uses to rebuild muscle tissue after you tear it down. They are also involved in tissue repair, immune function, and energy production throughout the body, not just in muscle.
Your body makes some on its own and gets the rest from protein in food. Hard training, low protein intake, illness, and stress can all leave you running short of what your body wants for repair.
Why an IV Booster Beats a Protein Shake
A shake has to get through your stomach and small intestine first, and how much you actually absorb depends on your digestion, what else you ate, and how your gut is doing that day. After a hard session, when blood flow has shifted away from digestion, absorption is often at its worst.
With an IV add-on, the full dose lands in your bloodstream where your muscles can use it. That is the whole argument for the delivery method, and it is why clients on a recovery clock choose it over another shake.
Standard 1 mL vs. High Dose 3 mL
The 1 mL dose at $35 suits general wellness and everyday recovery. Most clients pick it as part of a regular monthly drip rather than for a specific event.
The 3 mL dose at $70 is triple the amount. It is the choice after a marathon, a tournament, or a heavy build phase, and for clients who are training most days of the week. If a drip you are booking already includes amino blend at standard dose, you pay only the difference to move up, not the full $70.

What People Use It For
Drips That Include Amino Blend
The Athletic Recovery IV ($349) and the Weight Loss IV ($349) both carry amino blend. The All Inclusive IV ($449 standard, $549 high dose) includes it, and the Ultimate IV ($699) and Black Card VIP ($999) both carry it at high dose. If recovery is your main focus, one of those drips may be the better base. Add the booster on top if you want a stronger dose.
Amino blend is also one of the two standard add-ons you can choose when building a Custom IV, which starts at $249.
How Long Until You Feel It
Recovery support is not the kind of thing you feel during the drip the way hydration is. Most clients notice the difference the next morning, in how sore they are and how ready they feel for the next session.
Clients who use it regularly tend to book it as part of a monthly or biweekly drip rather than one off. Results vary from person to person, and it works alongside sleep, food, and training load rather than replacing any of them.
Important Kidney and Liver Note
Amino acids are processed by your kidneys and liver. If you have any kidney or liver condition, tell your RN and put it on your intake form. Our medical provider may adjust the dose or recommend a different add-on.
This also matters if you are already on a high protein diet or taking amino acid supplements, since our provider will want the full picture. Let us know about a known amino acid metabolism disorder, pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and about any allergy to a component of the blend.
Pairs Well With
For a recovery stack, pair amino blend with magnesium and taurine. For post race recovery, add high dose amino blend to an extra liter of fluids. For broader wellness that still supports recovery, pair it with B-Complex and vitamin C.
Prefer a shot? The Recovery Shot is amino blend given intramuscularly, $50 for 1 mL or $70 for 3 mL. Standalone shot visits require a minimum of two shots. Shots added to an IV session have no minimum.
Common Questions
Should I start with 1 mL or 3 mL?+
If you are coming off a race or deep in a training block, start at 3 mL. For general recovery support, 1 mL is the right pick.
Is this better than a protein shake?+
It is not a replacement for eating protein. It is a faster route for a dose of amino acids on a day when absorption matters, like right after a hard session.
Will it make me build muscle?+
No. Amino acids support the repair process, but training and protein intake are what build muscle. Nobody should tell you a drip does that.
How often should I get it?+
Once or twice a month is common for clients on a routine. Athletes in a build phase sometimes go weekly. Our provider can help you land on a cadence.
Can I add it if my drip already has it?+
You can upgrade from standard to high dose and pay only the difference. We do not stack a second full dose on top.
Does it make my appointment longer?+
No. It runs as part of your existing bag.
Is the IV or the shot better?+
The IV absorbs immediately as part of your drip. The Recovery Shot is quicker if you are not booking a drip at all, with a two shot minimum on standalone visits.
Is it safe during pregnancy?+
Tell us at intake. Our medical provider decides case by case, and there are pregnancy specific drips that may suit you better.
