Where the name comes from
Dr. John Myers was a Baltimore doctor who gave vitamin infusions to his patients in the 1960s and 70s. After he died, another doctor, Alan Gaby, wrote up the formula he had been using and the name stuck. Every IV company has its own version. Ours is below.
What is in ours
A full litre of balanced fluid (the same solution hospitals use). Vitamin C. A B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6). B12 as methylcobalamin. Magnesium. Zinc. Glutathione, the body's main antioxidant. The nurse reviews the exact formula with you before mixing; we do not publish doses on the website because your provider may adjust them.
The Mega Myers' is the same seven ingredients at double the vitamin strength, with more glutathione. Same litre, same nurse, about 15 minutes longer in the chair. It is our most-booked drip.
Who it is for
People who are tired but not sick. The second week of a hard stretch at work. Parents of young kids. Shift workers. Anyone getting over a cold who feels flat. Travelers landing from a red-eye. People in flu season who want to stay ahead of it. People who want to try IV therapy once before deciding on a membership.
It is also the drip people mean when they search energy IV or wellness IV, which is why our Energy IV and Wellness IV pages both point here.
Who it is not for
If you cannot keep water down, book the Nausea & Stomach Relief IV. If you have a fever and body aches, the Immunity Boost has more vitamin C and zinc. If you want focus and recovery over weeks, that is NAD+. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have kidney disease or a known G6PD deficiency, tell us at intake; the provider will decide what is safe.
What it feels like
A small pinch for the line. Most people feel the fluid and the B vitamins before the bag is finished: less heavy, clearer, a little warm. Magnesium can make you feel relaxed. The effect lasts a few days to a week. The nurse stays the whole 45 minutes.
What the research actually says
Honest version: the vitamins in a Myers' are well understood one at a time, and giving them by IV gets them into your blood at levels pills cannot reach. Small studies have looked at the Myers' formula for fatigue, migraine and asthma with mixed but encouraging results. There is no big trial that proves it for everyone. What we see is simpler: people who are run down usually feel better the same day and stay better for a few days to a week. We do not promise more than that.
Before and after
Before: eat something and drink a glass of water, wear a sleeve you can push up, and have your intake form done so the nurse can start right away. After: keep the little bandage on for an hour, expect a small bruise at most, drink water, and plan nothing hard for the rest of the day if you can help it. The nurse texts you the next day to check in.
Myers' or Mega Myers'
Start with the Myers' at $299 if it is your first IV. Go Mega Myers' at $399 if you have had one before, if you are run down after travel or a big week, or if you want the extra glutathione. Before your first high-dose vitamin C drip we run a quick G6PD screen; it is routine.
