The Pill
1 mg once a day. Decades of data. Lowers scalp DHT by about two thirds. A small minority report sexual side effects, almost always reversible.
The Spray
Finasteride combined with minoxidil in one scalp solution, applied once a day. Blood levels of finasteride are much lower than with the pill, and studies show similar scalp results with fewer reported side effects. Downsides: it has to be applied daily and can irritate the scalp.
Who Picks Which
Simple routine, no concerns: the pill ($149). Worried about side effects, or had them before: the spray ($149). Want the most complete plan: the full program with the pill, oral minoxidil and shampoo ($249).
Switching
You can move from one to the other at any check-in. Results carry over as long as there is no gap.
