Who Should Screen

Women 65 and up, men 70 and up, and earlier with risk factors: early menopause, steroid use, family history, smoking, low body weight, prior fracture.

The Tests

DEXA at an imaging center (we refer). Labs drawn at home: vitamin D, calcium, PTH, thyroid, testosterone or estradiol, and a metabolic panel.

What Moves Bone

Strength training and impact, protein, vitamin D and calcium corrected to normal, hormone therapy where appropriate, and medications (bisphosphonates and others) when the DEXA calls for them.

How It Works

Zen IV Spa doctor house calls are $599 with travel included anywhere in New York or New Jersey, 8 AM to 11 PM, seven days; a $50 video visit covers many problems. Labs are drawn at home by a nurse and reviewed on video.
