What High Doses Can Do
Mild acne or rosacea flares in some people, and very high blood levels on a lab that look alarming but just reflect the injection. Rarely, a reaction to the cobalt in the molecule.
Who Should Check First
Anyone with kidney disease, Leber's disease, or on certain medications. A B12 level and CBC drawn at home before starting regular injections is reasonable.
