How Common It Is

Roughly a quarter of men see the first signs of pattern hair loss before 21, and about half by 30. Women can start in their 20s too, often as a slowly widening part. It is genetics switching on, not something you did.

Why Early Is Better

Medication keeps follicles alive; it cannot bring back ones that have shut down for years. A man who starts finasteride at 24 with mild recession usually keeps most of his hair for decades. A man who waits until 34 and a bald crown is fighting for less.

Ruling Out the Other Causes

At this age, stress shedding, crash dieting, low iron (common in women), thyroid problems and steroid use are all worth checking. We draw labs at your home before prescribing.

The Plan

Most young men: finasteride ($149) or the full program ($249). Young women: the women's program ($149). Photos every three months to track. Honest check-ins about side effects, which are uncommon and reversible.

Common Questions

Will I go bald if my dad did?+

You are more likely to, but not certain. Both sides of the family count, and treatment changes the outcome.

Is it too early for medication at 20?+

No. Finasteride is approved from 18.

Does working out or creatine cause hair loss?+

Lifting does not. Creatine's link is one small study and has not been confirmed; if you are worried, it is easy to stop and watch.
