Enclomiphene
A daily pill that blocks estrogen's feedback on the brain, so the brain sends more signal to the testicles. Testosterone rises, often into the normal range, while sperm production continues. Best for men under 45, men who want children, and men with mildly low levels. Side effects are mild: occasional headache, mood or vision changes (rare).
TRT
Testosterone itself, by injection or gel. Reliable and strong, works even when the testicles cannot respond. Shuts down your own production and sperm count while you are on it.
Choosing
Want kids, or might: enclomiphene. Over 50, very low levels, or enclomiphene did not lift you enough: TRT. Not sure: start with enclomiphene; switching later is easy.
