What It Measures

Insulin and C-peptide are released together, so C-peptide is a clean measure of your own insulin production even if you inject insulin.

Normal Range

Roughly 0.5 to 2.0 ng/mL fasting. Low means the pancreas is not producing (type 1, or late type 2). High means insulin resistance (early type 2, PCOS, obesity).

Why It Matters for Weight Loss

High C-peptide with normal glucose is insulin resistance, the state GLP-1s and MOTS-c help most. Very low C-peptide changes how a provider approaches a GLP-1.

How It Works

Drawn at home with fasting glucose, insulin and A1c; reviewed on video.
