Cortisone: Fast, Blunt

A steroid injected into or near the joint. Relief in days, lasting weeks to months. Downsides: repeated shots can weaken tendons and cartilage, and it masks pain without fixing the cause. Doctors usually limit it to three or four a year.

BPC-157: Slow, Aimed at Repair

A peptide studied for tendon, ligament and muscle healing. Daily subcutaneous injection for four to eight weeks, $229 a month. No tissue-weakening effect; the trade-off is time and less dramatic pain relief early.

Which, or Both

Acute, severe pain that is stopping rehab: cortisone (through your orthopedist) can buy a window. Chronic tendinopathy, slow-healing sprains, post-surgery recovery: BPC-157, often with TB-500 ($299 stack). Many people do one cortisone shot and start BPC-157 the same week.

How to Get It

At Zen IV Spa every program is prescribed by our medical director, a licensed physician, after a $50 video consultation and labs drawn at your home. Medication ships overnight anywhere in New York or New Jersey from an FDA-registered 503A pharmacy, and a nurse can come for the first dose.
