The Tests

Fourth-generation antigen/antibody blood test (most accurate, detects from about 2 to 4 weeks), RNA test (earliest, from 10 days, for high-risk exposures), and rapid antibody tests (from 3 months).

At Home

A nurse draws the fourth-generation test at your home; results in two to three days to your portal, reviewed privately with a provider.

If Positive

A confirmation test, then a referral to an HIV specialist the same week. Modern treatment makes the virus undetectable and untransmittable.

Prevention

PEP within 72 hours of an exposure (we can prescribe), and PrEP for ongoing prevention with labs at home every three months.
