IV therapy for a migraine at home: what is in it and can a nurse come today?

When a migraine has you in a dark room, the last thing you want is a trip anywhere. A nurse comes to you.

The short answers

What is in the Migraine IV?+

A litre of fluid with magnesium and B vitamins. Anti-nausea and anti-pain add-ons can be given when clinically indicated, after a provider on our team approves them for you.

Will it stop my migraine?+

Rehydration and magnesium help many people, and the add-ons treat nausea and pain. It is not a cure and not a substitute for your neurologist's plan. Tell the nurse about every medicine you take.

How fast can a nurse come?+

Same-day appointments are usually available, 8 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week. In NYC, Hoboken and Jersey City a nurse typically arrives within 1 to 3 hours.

What does it cost?+

$349, travel included. A doctor house call, which adds an exam and prescriptions, is $799.

When should I not use this?+

If this is the worst headache of your life, or you have a fever, stiff neck, weakness or trouble speaking, call 911 or go to the ER. A home visit is for things that can wait for a nurse to drive over.

Do you come to all of New York and New Jersey?+

Yes. Same price everywhere, travel included.

All treatments are medical services. Every guest is screened, and every treatment is provided only under the clearance, prescription or standing protocol of a licensed medical provider. Nothing on this page is a diagnosis or a promise of results.
