First, what NAD+ is
NAD+ is a molecule every cell uses to turn food into energy and to run its repair work. Your levels fall with age, and drop faster with heavy drinking, poor sleep, long stress and illness. NAD+ drips and shots put the molecule itself into your bloodstream.
Why there is no one answer
The large human trials that would tell us "X times a month" have not been done yet. What exists: small studies showing NAD+ levels in the blood rise after an infusion and come back down over days to weeks, and a lot of clinic experience. So any schedule you read online, including ours, is a reasonable plan, not a proven rule.
How clinics usually plan it
Most programs run in two parts. A loading phase: a few sessions close together over the first two to four weeks, to bring levels up. Then maintenance: one session every few weeks to a few months, depending on how you feel and why you started. People using NAD+ for a rough stretch, jet lag, or a short-term energy slump often do one or two sessions and stop. People using it for long-term energy or healthy aging tend to settle into a monthly or every-other-month rhythm.
Drip or shot changes the math
A drip delivers more NAD+ in one sitting. At Zen IV Spa the three options are 250, 500 or 1,000 mg, and a drip takes one to four hours because NAD+ has to go in slowly. A shot delivers a smaller amount in ten minutes, so people who choose shots usually do them more often, sometimes weekly. Shipped-to-you NAD+ injections, after a provider's video visit, follow the plan the provider writes.
How a provider decides for you
Before your first NAD+ drip, a licensed provider reviews your health history on a short video call and writes an order just for you. They look at why you want it, how you felt after the first session, your budget and your calendar. The nurse checks your blood pressure and pulse before every drip. Everything is overseen by our medical director.
The honest line
Start with one. Pay attention to the next week. Then decide with the provider whether a second one, and a schedule, makes sense. Nobody needs NAD+ every week forever.
